Health Hubs Launched in Two Solihull Libraries

This month Chelmsley Wood and Hobs Moat libraries have celebrated the launch of their new Health Hubs, created as a result of a partnership between Solihull Public Health and Health Exchange.

Each library will have a designated health area, giving local residents the opportunity to receive a health check conducted by one of our qualified Health Trainers. Users will also have access to a wealth of health information and be able to refer themselves to one of our free services via a Health Exchange Kiosk!

Health Exchange’s Operations Director, Sue Turton, who attended the launch said: “These hubs add great benefit to the local community as they allow us to give residents access to health information 24/7. They also give our Health Trainers a local base from which to see clients on a regular basis”.

The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Glenis Slater, who also attended the launch to find out more about what was on offer, commented: “The free and easy access to health-related information at the Health Hubs will better empower residents to take control of their own wellbeing. It is a great pleasure to introduce something like this to our borough.”

Healthcare professionals, members of local community groups and library goers were among those celebrating the opening of the Hubs.
