COPD Support

Our Breathe Well… Take Control programme supports anyone living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and their carers.

Our programme consists of weekly group sessions that support people with COPD and their carers in a friendly, fun and interactive environment and help them to manage their condition in a more positive way.

If you have COPD, this programme is a fantastic way to meet others, make friends and learn more about your condition from a healthcare professional.

The support includes:

  • Free professional advice – including inhaler techniques and Q&A sessions
  • Art and music therapy
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Nutritious lunches
  • Any other appropriate activities that you may wish to add – simply speak to the Facilitator about what you would like to see on the programme and we will do our best to make it happen

All sessions take place on Mondays at 1pm – 4pm at the mac theatre, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, B12 9QH

“The sessions have helped me stop panicking about my condition. If I wasn’t coming to these groups, I would panic, feel stressed, I don’t know what I’d do. I get to learn more about my COPD, correct inhaler usage and learn about what I’m facing.”

“The group is great as it gets him out of the house, he has met new people and it gets him talking to others who have the same condition. It also gives me a break, which is important when we spend 24/7 together. He really enjoys the group.”
